Day 1: Arrive at Nairobi any time. You will be picked up and taken to accommodation
Day 2: Nairobi/Lake Naivasha
You will travel from Nairobi to Lake Naivasha region. You will choose two of the several sites/ activities in this region. They include hiking and hot water spa at Hells Gate National Park, boat rides at Lake Naivasha and Oloiden, A visit to Elsamere Conservation Center to learn about the story of Joy adamson or visit to one flower farm or bird watching.
Lake Naivasha is a fresh water lake, popular with people seeking wildlife and bird watching. The name Naivasha comes from the Masai “Nai’posha”, which means “rough water”, though you will notice Lake Naivasha is generally calm as we watch for hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife. Bring your binoculars and scan for lovebirds, ibis, and fish eagles, watch buffaloes wallow in the swamps and listen to colobus monkeys call from the treetops.
Day 3: Lake Naivasha/Eldoret
You will travel from Naivasha to Eldoret. Enjoy varied landscapes and economic activities.
Day 4: Eldoret/Kampala
Travel from Eldoret to cross the border into Uganda at Malaba border town, then proceed to Kampala city and check in accommodation outside Uganda’s capital.
Day 5: Kampala/Kalinzu Forest Reserve
Travel from Kampala to Kalinzu Forest Reserve as you watch the Ugandan countryside pass by on the day’s journey. Check in accommodation at the boundary of reserve.
Day 6: Kalinzu Forest Reserve
Get up early for an included chimpanzee tracking excursion at Kalinzu Forest Reserve, then visit a tea plantation before setting off for Lake Bunyonyi. You will trek along the ridges and valleys of the Rift Valley escarpment to visit chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Follow forest trails, which offer amazing views over the Rwenzori Mountains, Lake Edward, the Kazinga Channel, and Congo.
The Kalinzu Forest Reserve is steeped in mystery and rich with local legends. Learn about the folklore and uses of the forest from a local guide.
Travel to and check in accommodation at Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 7: Enjoy free time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Lake Bunyonyi. Accomodation at Lake Bunyonyi. You will also walk through a tea plantation with a local guide. View multiple varieties of tea, and learn about the process of growing tea plants from the harvesting stage to what goes into making the best cup of tea.
Day 8: Lake Bunyonyi to Bwindi Impenetrable Park
Check out of accomodation in Lake Bunyonyi and travel to Bwindi to check in accomodation near park. Ensure you get enough rest to have energy for spending full day at the park on next day.
Day 9. Bwindi Impenetrable Park
Depart early morning from hotel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park headquarters for gorilla trekking. Take an unforgettable guided trek (1-6 hrs) deep into volcano forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a wildlife encounter of a lifetime, and meet a family of mountain gorillas. One of Africa’s major highlights, a close encounter with these amazing animals is simply breathtaking. Picnic breakfast and lunch will be taken at Bwindi.
Get prepared before leaving hotel: bring plenty of water and waterproof clothing (it can rain on only a few minutes’ notice), and be sure to bring protective bags for cameras and film. Dress in layers with long sleeves and long pants to protect against stinging nettles found in the forests. After trekking you will return to accommodation at Bwindi Impenetrable Park. .
Day 10: Bwindi to Kampala
This is a long drive to return to the city.
Day 11: Kampala/Jinja
Travel from Kampala to Jinja town. Explore the varied landscape from Kampala to Jinja, known for its outdoor and adventure activities.
Day 12: Jinja
Spend another day exploring Jinja. Opt to raft down the White Nile River, mountain bike up and down the hills or check out the local market. There’s plenty to see and do in Jinja, and we wantto make sure that you had some time to take it all in. Feel free to relax or try optional activities like whitewater rafting, horseback riding, and quad biking.
Day 13: Jinja/Eldoret
Cross over into Kenya for a night in Eldoret.
Day 14: Eldoret/Lake Nakuru National Park
Travel from Eldoret to Lake Nakuru, one of the Rift Valley soda lakes. Search for rhinos, buffalo, impalas, hyenas, and even lions and leopards on the wildlife safari drive in this renowned national park. Head to the shores of Lake Nakuru to see pelicans and cormorants. The park is also rich in other bird life, including grebes, white winged black terns, stilts, avocets, and ducks. Accomodation at Lake Nakuru
Day 15: Lake Nakuru National Park/Nairobi
Transfer to Nairobi, where the tour ends upon arrival in afternoon.
